Art Deco Ring, Ostby & Barton, 14K Gold

Stunning ring from the famous Ostby & Barton jewelry company. To the centre of the slender black onyx tablet is a fine European cut diamond set within two oval designs of millegrain white gold. The border of the onyx stone is accentuated with a geometric motif possibly including fleur de lis in the corners. The setting of the stone is fabulous. It is embossed with various ornate designs and underpinned by a fabulous filigree mesh. The filigree work extends down the shanks of the ring. Stamped OB 14K on the inside. The ring has been resized by its previous owner to a comfortable 7 1/2. Early 20th century rings are tiny so this was probably originally created in the size range 4 to 5.

Condition

In very good vintage condition.

Size 7 1/2, the facade is approximately 5/8" by 3/8"
