An awesome postcard of a painting produced by one of England’s most endeared painters, Constable, that he exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1836.

According to the information on the back of the card, Constable wished to impress on us the transience of life by contrasting the forces of nature with the timelessness of the monuments. There is a tiny hare in the foreground fleeing the scene.

I thought at first glance this was a painting by William Blake. The spirituality and atmosphere of this work is unbelievable. Certainly a card to cherish.
