In very good vintage condition,
Lisner has a very long history. The company was founded in 1904 by the son of a German immigrant who sold "fancy goods" during the second half of the 19th century. The reputation of the company gradually grew as a wholesaler importing quality jewelry from Europe. By the 1930s Lisner was the importer and distributor of Schiaparelli French jewelry. It then opened its own jewelry line Lisner, but the jewelry was produced by other leading companies based at the Rhode Island manufacturing centre. The jewelry from the 1950s and 1960s was successful because of its sleek modern appearance which differentiates Lisner from Trifari and Coro.
Pieces by Lisner along with Kramer, Trifari and Coro are highly prized by collectors as it is relatively easy to find and re create a full set (parure) of designer jewelry. Collecting vintage jewelry is enjoyable and a great investment as the sets are rare and fetch increasingly higher prices on Ebay, Etsy and other online websites.
