A lovely 1970s Daisy doll wearing a trendy two piece known as Bees Knees, also designed by Mary Quant. Both doll and clothes are in good condition.
The Doll is lovely. She has her original thick and curly hair, which is still quite shiny, if a little dry at the ends. It does not appear to have been restyled or cut. We think this is our Sassy Daisy and have left her hair, wild and free!
Daisy has such a beautiful face. Her body looks good. The knees no longer hold a bend, but her joints are very flexible. Fingers and toes are intact.
Her clothes are original Mary Quant and in good vintage condition. The elastic in both her top and trousers needs either replacing or pinning if you are going to display her.
In very good vintage condition, there is some melt at her hips. This is caused by a reaction between the different plastics used in her legs and torso. This is very common with these dolls. Sassy Daisy also has a tiny mark on her back, but you can see from the photos it is very tiny.
