In very good vintage condition, there is however a water mark or colour run, see last photo. It is not very noticeable.

Silk scarves can be washed by hand if you take care to dry them carefully so they retain shape and always set the iron to silk. However, this depends upon whether the dye is water resistant. In which case, the scarf will need to be dry cleaned.
